Commissions

A limited number of commissioned works are offered each year.

Portraits

Commissioned portraits are driven by intuition and interpretation, using reference images as a point of departure rather than a destination.
Each portrait is shaped with intention, resulting in work that feels expressive, grounded, and complete.

This work is best suited for those who value artistic vision, trust the process, and are open to interpretation.

Pet Portraits

Pet portraits are guided by intuition and feeling, beginning with reference images and shaped by color, movement, and instinct.
Each piece is created with care and intention, resulting in something recognizable, expressive, and grounded — a portrait that captures presence as much as likeness.

This work is best suited for those who trust the artist’s eye and are open to interpretation.

Beyond Portraits

While my primary focus is portraits of people and pets, I occasionally accept commissions centered around meaningful places, objects, or environments.

If there’s something personal you’re drawn to preserve — a home, a landscape, a memory — you’re welcome to share that in your inquiry.

The Process

Commissioning a piece is designed to feel easy, personal, and unrushed.

This work is a collaborative process rooted in trust. Clients who value artistic interpretation and my creative vision tend to find this experience most rewarding.

  • 1. Inquiry

You’ll begin by reaching out through the inquiry form with a brief description of who or what the piece is for. You don’t need everything figured out — this is simply a starting point.

  • 2. Consultation

I personally respond to every inquiry. If the timing and scope are a good fit, we’ll schedule a short consultation to talk through:

    • reference images that best support the work
    • general color direction or palette preferences
    • size, timing, and overall feel

This step helps ensure we’re aligned before the painting begins.

  • 3. Creation

Once details are aligned, I take the lead. I work intuitively from the references and our conversation, shaping the piece through color, movement, and interpretation. Progress is shared along the way, and the finished work is prepared and delivered once complete.

Investment

Personal Portraits of People & Pets You Love start at $1,200 for a 20x20 painting. See below for a pricing guide to the most common sizes. I’m happy to provide a quote for a custom size if you don’t see the size you need here.

A 50% deposit is required to begin, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
