Brotherly Love

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Michelle’s portrait of my grandchildren is pure magic.  She captured their personalities and spirit with such precision and heart that it feels like their joy and love fill the room.  It radiates beauty and has become the centerpiece of my home – a treasure I’ll cherish forever.

The Process

The process is easy, personal, and enjoyable. I’ve broken it down into a few simple steps to make sure we stay perfectly in sync from our first conversation to the delivery of your finished artwork.

If you love bold, expressive acrylics or the timeless elegance of classic oil portraits, you can see examples of these styles in my Commissioned Art Collection. Together, we’ll shape your ideas and preferences into a custom piece that captures the vibrant emotion and energy at the heart of my work.

Pricing Guide + FAQ's

How do I reserve a spot for a commission?

To save your place, a signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable deposit are required. This deposit covers prep time and holds your spot. Spots are limited and booked first-come, first-served.

Can I have more than one person/pet in a portrait?

Yes, for an additional fee.

How long will my commission take?

Timeline depends on size and complexity. After deposit and final details, I’ll give you an estimated completion date and keep you updated along the way.

Will the Painting Look Just Like the Photo?

Not exactly—and that’s a good thing!
My goal is to create a painting, not a photo replica. I aim for a strong likeness that captures the spirit, expression, and emotional energy of your subject—not just their features.

Keep in mind:

  • Smaller sizes = fewer fine details. Larger pieces allow me to include more nuance.
  • I work from your reference photo but use artistic intuition to bring it to life in a way that feels rich and expressive.
  • Every brushstroke is made with intention—because we’re not just recreating a face, we’re telling a story.

What if I’m not happy with the finished portrait?

I want you to love your piece! That’s why I build in sneak peeks along the way. You’ll receive 1–2 progress updateswhere you can request minor adjustments (things like color shifts, background tweaks, or subtle details).

By the time the final artwork is revealed, we’ve already collaborated to make sure it feels aligned with your vision.

Because each piece is a custom, one-of-a-kind creation made just for you, full refunds aren’t possible once I begin painting. However, I guarantee that if something feels off, I’ll do everything I reasonably can within those preview stages to adjust and ensure you’re delighted with the final result.

In short: Your happiness matters. My guarantee is that you’ll be included in the process and have peace of mind knowing your voice is part of the journey.
